Ms. Marvel season 1, episode 1 release date: When does the MCU show’s premiere come out?
When does Kamala Khan debut on our screens in Ms. Marvel? Disney has given us some unexpected answers.
Hawkeye has concluded its run. The most recent addition to Disney Plus‘ ever-growing Marvel landscape, it followed in the footsteps of WandaVision The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and Marvel’s What If…? by giving fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe a chance to catch up with Clint Barton and meet the newest archer in town: Kate Bishop.
With Hawkeye‘s finale now out for the world to enjoy, MCU fans set their sights on what’s next in the Disney Plus/Marvel Studios calendar. As for the next canon live-action series, that remains unknown. The one fans are hoping for, however, is Ms. Marvel.
The series will center on Kamala Khan, the Marvel Comics character introduced back in 2013 that made history by becoming Marvel’s first ever Muslim character to headline her own series. Now, she headlines her own TV series, with Iman Vellani portraying her in the show.
With recent set photos giving fans their first look at Vellani in costume and the confirmation that the character will return to team up with Monica Rambeau and Captain Marvel in The Marvels, there is a lot of anticipation around the series. But when can we expect it to premiere?
When does Ms. Marvel season 1, episode 1 come out?
Ms. Marvel hasn’t been given an exact premiere date yet but it has now been confirmed that it will debut in the summer of 2022. The announcement was made at Disney Plus Day and this is a rather significant delay for the series as it was initially supposed to premiere in fall 2021, but Hawkeye‘s Christmastime setting resulted in it taking that slot instead.
With Hawkeye starting in November and running until the end of the year, it leaves us wondering which – if any – Marvel Studios series will arrive in the early part of 2022. We know it won’t be Ms. Marvel and with the first MCU movie of the year, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, not coming out until May, we should expect Marvel to have something up their sleeves to keep fans entertained until then.
Either way, Ms. Marvel will be premiering on Disney+ next year.
