New Avengers release changes the Marvel universe as we know it
By Mark Lynch
Marvel Comics’ Avengers will shape the future of the Avengers and the entire Marvel universe.
Jason Aaron’s run of Avengers has put Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in some interesting situations.
First, the Marvel heroes had to defeat multiple Celestials, resulting in their new base actually being a dead Celestial. But that was only the first series. They then went on to battle Namor and his new crew, Phil Coulson and his Squadron Supreme, Moon Knight and Khonshu, and Vampires. That’s not including their other adventure in space and crowning a new Phoenix.
Jason Aaron has produced 50 issues. As expected, No. 50 was a must read as he showed us a future for the Avengers that will affect the entire Marvel Universe.
New Avengers team
With Thor being King of Asgard, Blade being the sheriff of Vampire town, and She-Hulk taking a leave of absence, it’s time for some new blood on the Avengers. Thankfully, new members always seem to appear when they’re needed. This was no different.
First, Jane Foster’s (a.k.a. Valkyrie) colleague was working on a deceased person who, as he put it, “wouldn’t stop talking.” It’s revealed later that it’s a Deathlock. Later, Namor showed up at Avengers headquarters with a Deathlok as well. As he explained himself to T’Challa, Valkyrie also showed up with her talkative Deathlok. But as this was going on, one of the Deathloks disappeared with Robbie Reyes.
