Red Widow

After Heroes Reborn, the Squadron Supreme was left in the wind. They remembered their time of being the best team in the universe and Mephisto being their lord. We didn’t know what they would do or where they went. Well, apparently, all of them made their way to Russia to see the Red  Widow.

Blur, Doctor Spectrum, and Power Princess showed up. The latter killed Spectrum since he wanted to arrest Red Widow. She then said that he doesn’t speak for them. When asked about Hyperion, we saw him restrained. Apparently, he wants freedom from who he was made to be. Looks like Red Widow has a new team since the Winter Guard abandoned her.

Time traveling Kazar

Kazar was sent back in time on a mission for T’Challa. On his way back, he was taken from the timestream by Howard Stark from Earth-4111. On his earth, Howard Stark made a deal with Mephisto to be immortal – a deal where he became the Red Council’s Chief Security Officer.

Stark left Kazar on this Earth to be killed by Galactus with the rest of the planet. He was hoping that Kazar wouldn’t be able to report back to T’Challa. Instead of dying, however, Kazar becomes the Herald of Galactus.

King Arthur and Thor

This was the last story told in this issue. A young Arthur Pendragon (King Arthur) was being attacked by the Brood. Luckily, he was saved by Thor.

Arthur didn’t believe that even Thor existed but he was even more surprised when he couldn’t lift Mjolnir. The God of Thunder told him that he wasn’t worthy but he does leave Arthur with something to keep him motivated, telling him that everyone is worthy of something. That’s where we see the Excalibur in stone.

This story seemed random, but had to be added for a reason. Maybe King Arthur becomes an Avenger at some point in time. After all, they are still short on members. Having someone with a magical sword could be the answer. Especially since they hate Dane Whitman (Black Knight).
