Number 5: WandaVision

WandaVision had an incredibly difficult task placed in front of it when it debuted in January of 2021. It was the first Marvel Cinematic Universe property to debut as a television show on Disney Plus.

An argument could be made that WandaVision is the most unique property in the MCU. Combining elements of sitcom television with elements we were accustomed to seeing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe made for an interesting viewing experience.

It would have been very simple for the MCU to tell Wanda’s story and the struggle she had in dealing with all of the tragedy around her. But to do so by giving viewers three straight by the book (for the most part) sitcoms was an ambitious approach by Marvel.

It was a difficult adjustment for fans to make when the series first debuted. But once the fourth episode came, and it gave us a better idea of how the story was unfolding, fans bought in much more than they had.

As great as WandaVision was, it had a problem that was truly beyond its control. There was so much speculation snowballing every week about the mystery surrounding WandaVision, it was nearly an impossible task for the show to end with a satisfying conclusion. Many fans felt disappointed when the show was over because so much of the speculation that had built up in the minds of fans never came to fruition.
