Obviously, it’s doesn’t get much more iconic than Michelle Pfeiffer. She’s starred in a number of classic blockbusters and even played Catwoman in Batman Returns. In 2018, the star made her MCU debut in Ant-Man and the Wasp as Janet Van Dyne, later reprising her role in Avengers: Endgame the next year.
It’s safe to say, her addition to the Marvel family was welcomed with open arms. But keep those arms open for the 2011 ensemble romantic comedy New Year’s Eve, which features Michelle Pfeiffer in one of her most endearing roles to date.
Although the vast majority of holiday movies celebrate Christmas, you can’t forget about New Year’s Eve, an underrepresented holiday on screen. From director Garry Marshall, New Year’s Eve follows the intertwining stories that find love and hope abounding on the final night of the year. Pfeiffer plays Ingrid, a woman who quits her job and embarks on a mission to fulfill her many New Year’s resolutions with the help of deliveryman Paul (Zac Efron).
The film wasn’t a hit with critics, but audiences sure felt the love for the rom-com, which should be a New Year’s Eve staple.
