Marvel: How these new and upcoming Disney Plus shows can succeed

Ms. Marvel
Let her grow slowly
Kamala Khan’s popularity has skyrocketed faster than almost any character. What other character can make their debut and, in less than a decade, star in an Avengers video game, headline your own TV series and co-star in a big-budget movie?
Kamala’s character growth has been one of her greatest qualities, as her development has gone at a steady pace, allowing fans to grow with her as she evolves as a hero. This is a must when Ms. Marvel debuts on Disney Plus.
Kamala Khan isn’t just a fan of heroes, she studies them. You’ll see her meet her favorites and know everything about them – which helps when they team up. Knowing her teammates’ strengths and weaknesses has helped her collaborate with them and ultimately win battles.
At first, it was a bit much. She would become star-struck whenever she met them. As time went on, the starry-eyed teenager disappeared. She became a peer of those heroes. For example, in Captain Marvel No. 30, Carol Danvers (a.k.a. Captain Marvel) went to Kamala for help. Carol doesn’t like asking for help in general and yet, she went to Kamala for her help. This showed how much Carol respected Kamala and how far Ms. Marvel has come.
There’s an opportunity that we rarely see in Ms. Marvel. We could see a character with major longevity. Iman Vellani could very well play Ms. Marvel for over a decade if Marvel continues to feature the character in projects. This would allow fans to be able to see her have the same kind of in-depth character development in the MCU that she had in the comics. If it’s done well, she might become even bigger in the MCU and in the comics.
