John Cena embarks on his first foray into the world of streaming television on January 13th with the release of Peacemaker.

John Cena is one of the few wrestlers who have been able to market their stardom in the wrestling ring to mainstream stardom. There have obviously been some who have been successful with Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, being the standard bearer.

John Cena has had numerous roles in movies since he burst on to the acting scene with his debut film The Marine in 2006. It wasn’t the most well received movie as it is 20% rotten on Rotten Tomatoes, but it did show the wrestler had star potential.

The filmography for John Cena looks about like you would expect it to for a now retired wrestler. It’s full of action films where Cena gets to use his impressive physical skills to show off in front of the camera.

The most recent film he was in was the DCEU film The Suicide Squad. Warner Brothers had plans when the movie was filmed to launch a new series based on John Cena’s character called Peacemaker. The show will likely pick up from the events of the movie and give us more story involving the title character.

In preparation for the new series, I decided to take a look back on the best films John Cena has had to offer up until this point in his career. Since there is no tried and true standard to judge films, I will be using the Rotten Tomatoes rating system to rank the films.
