Here’s how you can watch the series premiere of the CW’s latest DC Comics star Naomi online.

It didn’t take long for DC Comics character Naomi to get her own TV show. She made her debut in DC Comics just under two years ago and now she’s set to headline a show of her own. Not even popular Marvel characters like Miles Morales or Kamala Khan had that kind of turnaround.

This confirms a few things. First, The CW believes in Brian Michael Bendis and David F. Walker’s creation. Second, Ava DuVernay (When They See Us and Selma) being executive producer indicates that Naomi will be an impactful project. Lastly, The CW knows the right characters to put money behind.

The CW has continued to see success with DC Comics characters through its well-established Arrowverse shows. Arrow is remembered as a classic show that kick-started the universe, The Flash continues to be highly popular eight seasons in, and new heights were reached with the universally-acclaimed Superman & Lois. Naomi will likely be the the next major hit for the network.

What to expect from Naomi

Another good thing about Naomi being new is that we don’t know much about her. We barely know much about where she was born and who her biological parents are. Her DC Comics mini-series was only six issues and she hasn’t been in the Justice League a year yet. That leaves the creators with a lot of creative room and freedom to play with. It also keeps angry fans from saying that certain things aren’t like the comics.

From what we’ve seen in the trailer and read in the press releases, finding out who she is and what her powers are will be the focus of the show. In the trailer above, we can see that she does have abilities. And just like in the pages of DC Comics, we don’t know how powerful she is. Maybe we’ll have a more defined description of what she can do in the show than in the comics.
