Who is Colin Seifert and is he appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Actor Colin Seifert has teased big things from himself and Hawkeye’s Hailee Steinfeld, but is he appearing in the MCU, who is he playing and will he share the screen with Kate Bishop?

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is continuing to grow. The biggest movie franchise of all time, the Marvel Studios juggernaut has reached new heights in recent years, with its Avengers entries breaking box office records and Spider-Man: No Way Home doing the same all while introducing the multiverse. The biggest success, however, might just be its expansion into television.

Through the use of the Disney Plus streaming service, the MCU has gifted us with small screen hits like WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If…? and Hawkeye. And it’s the latter of those that has been generating discussion as of late, with Hailee Steinfeld’s Kate Bishop becoming an instant fan-favorite.

While the character is expected to return in the future, it remains unclear where that will happen and if it will be in a second season of Hawkeye. However, a recent social media post from actor Colin Seifert suggests that we might see more of Hailee Steinfeld sooner rather than later, and he might even be joining her.

But if he is, who would he be playing?

Is Colin Seifert in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Actor Colin Seifert recently shared a photo of himself with Hailee Steinfeld on social media, captioning it with “Some very MARVELous things are going to come this year”. He followed the caption up with the dartboard and bow and arrow emojis.

While this doesn’t outright confirm anything, it has resulted in an increased amount of speculation that the actor will appear in an upcoming MCU project. Given the fact that he is with Hailee Steinfeld in the image, it suggests that he will appear in Hawkeye season 2. However, as that show has yet to be renewed for a second season, we’ll have to wait and see if that’s the case.

Is Colin Seifert playing Speed in the MCU?

Another theory doing the rounds is that Colin Seifert is playing the adult version of Wanda Maximoff’s son Speed and that he will co-star with Hailee Steinfeld in some kind of Young Avengers project.

Speed, real name Thomas Maximoff, first appeared with his twin brother Billy (a.k.a. Wiccan) in WandaVision. He was portrayed by Gavin Borders as a five-year old and Jett Klyne as a ten-year old, with fans believing that if he were to return, an older actor would be playing the role (alongside an older actor playing the role of Billy), setting the stage for a Young Avengers movie or TV series.

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but the internet has been talking about Colin Seifert and his potential role in the MCU, so watch this space!
