When is Professionals coming to The CW?
Smallville’s Tom Welling teamed up with Brendan Fraser in Professionals and it will be coming to The CW. The question is: When?
As reported by CinemaBlend last year, Professionals, starring Tom Welling and Brendan Fraser has been acquired by The CW for broadcast.
Welling is synonymous with the network after playing Clark Kent on Smallville throughout its early years. Fraser, meanwhile, has experienced a resurgence in his career in recent years, including his recent casting in the role of Garfield Lynns / Firefly in the upcoming DCEU movie Batgirl. He is also currently a series regular as Cliff Steele/Robotman in HBO Max’s Doom Patrol.
CW fans are excited to experience Professionals, but when can they expect to find it on the network? And what is it about?
What is Professionals about?
Welling, who also serves as Professionals‘ executive producer, plays Vincent Corbo; a top security specialist lined up to protect the interests of the rich and powerful by any means. Whereas, Fraser is billionaire Peter Swann, who is highly suspicious when a medical satellite he designed goes kaput following its launch.
Professionals follows the duo as the security op heads a team of security professionals to investigate the satellite explosion, which pits him and his employer against shady business rivals, corrupt government officials and hordes of felons from a shadowy crime ring.

Professionals season 1 release date on The CW
As Professionals has been completed and has already aired on some channels around the world, the first season is ready and waiting to be aired on The CW. But, as of 2022, there has been no update as to when The CW plans to air the series.
In the past, it has aired shows that it acquired, such as the first season of DC’s Stargirl and Swamp Thing, in the summer or towards the beginning of the fall schedule. In this case, the former is most likely as a number of The CW’s primary shows will be wrapping their current seasons in the spring, leaving slots in the schedule come summertime.

The action-drama was created by co-showrunners Jeff Most and Michael Colleary – who also serve as executive producers. Most, Colleary, Rohan Dickson and Paul Walker are writing the series. Welling, Fraser, Anaya, Michael Auret, Howard Cohen, Bharat Nalluri and Herbert Kloiber also are executive producers.
