Gotham City has never been a particularly safe place for DC Comics characters to live, but The CW’s Batwoman has proven that it probably never will be either. Years after Batman protected the city from the villains that threatened it, a new generation of evil has surfaced. With these new threats inspired by their predecessors to do harm, it’s now up to Batwoman to save the city.

The Arrowverse show returned to screens last year to kick off its third season, with Ryan Wilder having to do some immediate damage control after Batman’s villain trophies found their way back into Gotham City. This resulted in a new wave of villainy that single-handedly created new threats for the Bat-Team to take down.

Fans have responded positively to the show’s third season, with many suggesting it’s the best outing yet. But while the conclusion of season 3 is on the horizon, we’ll have to wait a little longer until we get new episodes.

That’s likely down to the Olympics, which many TV networks do not wish to compete with as their scripted shows would likely suffer in the ratings department.

Thus, Batwoman season 3 will be taking a brief hiatus. But it won’t be long until the Bat is back on screens.
