The Walking Dead best duos: Rick and Carl
From the very beginning, Rick and Carl were the beating heart of the show. As soon as Rick woke up in the middle of the zombie apocalypse, he set out to find Carl and his wife Lori. Of course, he finds them, and the rest is history.
Over the seasons, we’ve seen Carl walk in his father’s footsteps in becoming strong and capable, with an empathetic side. He looks great rocking that sheriff hat, too!
It’s always endearing to watch a father-son relationship flourish. In between all the chaos and brutality caused by both the dead and the living, we would always be reminded of how important it is for Rick to protect Carl.
Indeed, many fans are still aggrieved at the writers for killing off Carl in season 8. I’m still irritated by that decision. However, don’t allow that to detract from how special the father-son bond was between them.
