I Am Groot

Little is known about the animated off-shoot of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, but it’s clear that it will follow one of the MCU’s most beloved characters.

Focusing on Baby Groot as he grows up in the galaxy, each of the animated I Am Groot shorts will see him embark on adventures with some unique and memorable characters.

The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special

Release date: December 2022

Starring: Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff

Another mystery revolving around the Guardians of the Galaxy is the plot of their upcoming holiday special, but from what we know about the space-traversing team of misfits, they do love a bit of chaos – so you can bet that’s exactly what we’re going to get from this one.

A live-action special, it will share continuity with both Guardians films (and by extension the whole MCU) and it will be filmed during production of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

It’s also pretty monumental as it will see Marvel Studios accomplish another first with the MCU, as The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special will indeed be their first television special. It will, of course, be released on Disney Plus during the holiday season in 2022.
