The Batman UK release date: When does the movie come out in the UK?
The Batman is about to bring the fight to movie theaters, but when can fans in the UK expect the Robert Pattinson film to hit screens?
It’s been a long time coming but The Batman is finally on the horizon. The long-awaited reboot of the Caped Crusader’s silver screen franchise, it looks set to take the titular detective into a more noir-like territory than previous outings and it’s safe to say that moviegoers are excited.
Robert Pattinson is in the lead role as the Dark Knight himself in a movie directed by Matt Reeves that will delve into the character’s second year as Gotham City’s solemn vigilante. Joining him are Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Jeffrey Wright, John Turturro, Peter Sarsgaard, Andy Serkis and Colin Farrell.
The official main trailer had its release at DC FanDome (a year after the first footage was unveiled at the previous event) and it sent DC fans into a frenzy, increasing anticipation for a movie that already had sky high levels of anticipation as it was.
With excitement building, fans are now turning their attention to the release date of the film. Meanwhile, fans in the United Kingdom are doing the same. Can they expect any delays or will its release coincide with the United States’ release date?
When does The Batman come out in the UK?
The Batman will be released in the UK on March 4, 2022. That’s definitely great news for fans in the United Kingdom because it lines up with its domestic debut in the US, meaning that it opens at the same time in both countries.
The movie initially had a June 2021 release date planned but the delays created as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic saw it first get delayed until October before it was eventually pushed back until March next year.
While multiple delays have resulted in different UK and US release dates for other major films (like Venom: Let There Be Carnage), that is, thankfully, not the case with The Batman.
