The Mandalorian season 3 is not coming to Disney Plus in March 2022

There are some great titles coming to Disney Plus in March 2022. Unfortunately, The Mandalorian season 3 is not one of them. 

There’s never been a more exciting time to be a Star Wars fan. Sure, there might not be any new movies slated to drop in theaters for several years to come but there are no shortage of amazing Star Wars titles to enjoy over on Disney Plus.

2022 kicked off with new episodes of The Book of Boba Fett. In just a few months, Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen will reprise their roles as Obi-Wan and Darth Vader via the new limited series Obi-Wan. And there are several Star Wars shows on the schedule for this year including new seasons of both The Bad Batch and The Mandalorian.

While The Mandalorian is the series that helped to kick off Disney Plus’s amazing Star Wars content, the series has taken a back seat in recent months to make room for new series such as The Book of Boba Fett. As a result, fans have been counting down the days until the third season’s arrival.

Although we do know the season is coming sometime this year, the bad news is The Mandalorian season 3 will not be making its way to Disney Plus anytime in March.

When is The Mandalorian season 3 coming to Disney Plus?

Now that we can officially rule out a March release date for The Mandalorian season 3, the question remains when exactly will the third season of the hit series be coming to Disney Plus?

While Disney Plus has not announced an official release date for season 3 of The Mandalorian, all signs are pointing towards the new season arriving sometime in December 2022.

In a February report, TVLine reported The Mandalorian season 3 should arrive around Christmastime which means we could see the new season premiere as early as Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022. This is operating on the assumption that Disney Plus will continue to release series on Wednesdays, but the timing definitely would make sense and give something fans to get excited about around the holidays!
