Disney Shareholders Webcast 2022 might feature some huge Marvel announcements. Is that rumored Scarlet Witch movie one of them?

Marvel and Disney fans are incredibly excited about Disney Shareholders Webcast 2022. The event could see Disney promote upcoming releases for the purpose of their shareholders and investors, hyping everything that is set to come from it, Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios in the coming months and years.

It’s quite the major event for fans as the studio might release trailers, teasers and various other tidbits to entice audiences with some of their upcoming titles. They also often use opportunities such as this to announce new releases.

On the Marvel side of things, fans are hoping to see a new trailer for Moon Knight, the first trailer for Ms. Marvel and perhaps even a trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder. As for major announcements, there are some rumors floating about in regards to possible new titles, and one fans would love to see is a solo Scarlet Witch movie.

Is a Scarlet Witch movie happening?

A movie featuring Elizabeth Olsen reprising her role as Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. the Scarlet Witch, has been heavily rumored for some time now. The character has long been one of the most popular in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but that popularity reached new heights when Olsen produced that Emmy-nominated performance in the also-Emmy-nominated Disney Plus series WandaVision.

With the Scarlet Witch set to play a major role in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, fans have been calling for her to headline her own solo project in the years ahead, especially since we now know Marvel can go all in on the Scarlet Witch’s story (ever since they regained the rights to the character in the Disney Fox merger).

We don’t know if the announcement will come at the Disney Shareholders Webcast, but it does seem like one of the more likely Marvel projects to happen in the future – so much so that if it doesn’t, it would be one of Marvel’s biggest ever missed opportunities.
