This Wednesday, a new episode of The Flash season 8 airs on The CW. A first for the network, the long-running Arrowverse series has been a Tuesday night regular since it debuted back in 2014. Now, it shifts to Wednesdays.
The eighth season technically kicked off back in November when the series returned with a five-episode-event known as “Armageddon”, which saw Barry Allen forced into an unbelievable battle with the alien Despero – who believed the Scarlet Speedster was a threat to the future.
In a shock twist, however, it turned out that the real threat to the future was Eobard Thawne, as the Reverse-Flash returned with the intention of destroying Barry’s life once and for all. Of course, that plan failed again as Barry overcame the odds and, with the help of Team Flash, defeated Despero as well.
Now, season 8 looks to officially start its own story, and it all begins with the returns of Nora West-Allen a.k.a. XS (Jessica Parker Kennedy) and Bart Allen a.k.a. Impulse (Jordan Fisher), as their trip through time seems to have some unanticipated effects on the timeline.
