The Flash season 8 returns to The CW next week. Before it does, check out the brand new trailer for the seventh episode of the season, “Lockdown”.

The Flash is finally back on our TV screens. It goes without saying that fans of the veteran superhero series had missed seeing Barry Allen and his friends on Team Flash racing up and down Central City in recent months, but the show has now made its way back to viewers.

But the midseason premiere didn’t pick up where the Armageddon five-episode-event left off, instead choosing to take us back to the season 7 finale instead so that we could follow Nora West-Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) and her brother Bart Allen (Jordan Fisher) as they attempted to repair the damage they unwittingly did to the timeline.

Of course, the superhero siblings managed to do that, but that didn’t stop the show from finding another way to scare fans, taking them back to the present as the West-Allen family and Team Flash tried to treat themselves to a post-Armageddon trip to Paris. But the cliffhanger ending had viewers worried about one long-time Flash character.

If you’re too excited to see where the story goes next, you’re in luck as The CW has released a brand new trailer for next week’s episode. Check it out below.

The upcoming episode, titled “Lockdown”, will see the stakes raised at Central City Police Department when Goldface invades the station. As a result, Barry and Kristen Kramer will have to trust each other in order to make it out safely. Will the CCPD captain learn that Barry is really The Flash?

Elsewhere, Caitlin will learn something of a valuable lesson when she’s out with Frost and Mark (a.k.a. Chillblaine). What that means we don’t know yet, but it will be interesting to see Frost and Cailtin on screen together again as it’s usually one or the other these days.
