The Flash season 8 returns to The CW next week. Before it does, check out the brand new trailer for “The Fire Next Time”.

The Flash season 8 is making its presence felt on The CW. The veteran series returned to the network on a new night for the first time ever last week, and its eighth season is now well underway.

After focusing on Barry and Iris West-Allen’s children, Bart and Nora, in the midseason premiere, the most recent installment saw the CCPD get locked down when Goldface invaded. Thankfully, Barry managed to save the day in the end. But, this is The Flash, so the hits (or in this case, the metas) just keep on coming!

If you’re too excited to see what comes next, however, you’ll be glad to know that The CW has released a brand new trailer for next week’s episode. Check it out below.

The episode, titled “The Fire Next Time”, will see Barry Allen put himself on the line when he trusts his instincts and believes that a murder suspect is innocent in spite of overwhelming evidence against him. That suspect is none other than season 4 villain The Hotness. Does our Scarlet Speedster have too much faith in this person or will he be able to prove that innocence?

Meanwhile, Allegra will be given a new opportunity at Central City Citizen when Iris asks if she’d like to mentor someone. We know how Allegra has fought to further her career at CCC, so how will she respond to this task?

The Flash season 8, episode 8 airs on The CW next Wednesday, March 23, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
