Living in Gotham City with Batman protecting it can’t be all bad. Right?

Most of the cities, states, and countries in the comic book world tend to be dangerous. There’s always a villain running around either robbing a bank or murdering someone. It’s just the way of the world of comics. Even if for some reason you don’t get attacked or killed by a villain, there’s always other threats. For example, there’s the risk of a falling building or getting hit by a car thrown at you by the Hulk. Of all the places in comics, Gotham City may be the worst of them all.

Gotham City is protected by Batman. The Caped Crusader has even helped save the universe on a few occasions. Despite that, Gotham City is awful. In fact, some people may choose the villain-riddled Madripoor over Gotham. However, Gotham City can’t be all bad. Can it?

There has to be more than a few reasons to stay in somewhere as awful as Gotham. This article will try and see what they are. We’re going to explore the good and the (very) bad of living in Gotham City. Because, even roses can grow in horrible places. Especially in a place Poison Ivy leaves.
