Thrilling life

People jump out of planes, bungee jump, and swim with sharks. There will always be people who live to get a thrill. Well, if they want it, Gotham’s the place for them. There will never be a shortage of excitement and danger in Gotham City.

Of course, there’s The Joker with his laughing gas, random murder sprees, and other shenanigans. A giant human crocodile could jump out of the sewer and eat you. Or, how about waking up dressed as a character from Alice in Wonderland. That doesn’t seem bad until you realize you can’t control your actions? All of these things that can happen. But, is it worth the adrenaline rush?

Job security

Employers in Gotham must always be looking for new employees. The rate that people leave the city or die must be high. The aggravation of constant threat would have people leaving even the best and highest paying jobs. That means it’s unlikely you’ll be fired for coming in late. Plus, you’ll always have the excuse that you were chased by Penguin’s goons.

This one is a gift and a curse. On one hand, you’ll almost always keep your job. On the other, there’s the mob. They probably run everything in Gotham. Even the food carts pay protection money or get their businesses ruined. This one is too close to call.
