A new clip from Moon Knight shows that this series will be unlike anything we’ve seen from Marvel Studios.

Comic book fans have been anticipating a Moon Knight project since his rebrand around 2006. It was then confirmed in 2019 in the form of an upcoming Disney Plus series. After that, videos of Oscar Isaac training surfaced on the internet and they looked great. The most notable thing was that it suggested his character would be slashing throats stabbing people.

Other than Loki, no other Marvel Studios show was brutal, so that training video was the first thing that made people realize Moon Knight wouldn’t be for everyone. We have yet to see what the violence will be like from the finished product, but a new clip has been released from the show indicates that it won’t just be vicious, it will be very scary as well.

In one of the earlier trailers, we saw that Moon Knight’s god Khonshu was in the show and it makes sense because Moon Knight, Marc Spector, and his other personalities don’t work without him. It adds to the mystique. For years we didn’t  know whether or not the god was real or not. While we knew Khonshu was in the project, what wasn’t expected was for him to look this menacing. It leaves this writer to believe this will be Marvel and Disney Plus’ first horror show.

Watch the new clip below:

Moon Knight’s Khonshu

As we see in the clip, the elevator doors open and Khonsu slowly creeps towards Steven Grant (Isaac). Then, we hear the stomping of Khonshu’s feet. Steven is so scared that he falls back into the corner of the elevator, with the look on Oscar Isaac’s face portraying that sheer terror really well.

Now, seeing as the woman in the elevator didn’t see Khonshu, we are left with the same mystery from the Marvel Comics. Does Khonshu exist? These kind of surprise appearances will definitely leave for a lot of jump scares throughout the show. Combine that with the potential violence we saw teased in the training footage and we could have a horror show.
