The Batman HBO Max release date: When does the movie come out on HBO Max?

The Batman will join the HBO Max library in the US very soon. When can fans expect to find the Robert Pattinson DC movie on there?

The Batman is the biggest box office success of 2022 thus far. That much was inevitable, as the movie was centred on arguably the biggest comic book character of all time, but it has quickly become the second-biggest movie of the pandemic, grossing over $500 million in just two weeks.

Led by Robert Pattinson’s Dark Knight, the Matt Reeves film focused on the title hero’s second year of crime-fighting, exploring his partnership with Lieutenant James Gordon as the duo attempt to solve the crimes of the terrifying Riddler.

It received critical acclaim for its grounded and more realistic portrayal of the Batman character, while also earning a ton of praise for prioritising the World’s Greatest Detective’s actual detective skills.

Those who didn’t see it in the movie theaters will no doubt be waiting for its arrival on HBO Max. On that note, just when does the film premiere on the Warner Bros. streaming service?

When does The Batman come out on HBO Max?

The Batman will premiere on HBO Max in the US on Monday, April 18.

It was initially expected to be Tuesday, April 19 after a tech glitch on HBO’s website accidentally announced the film’s release date on the service, as well as its premiere date on HBO.

While the advertisement is no longer visible, the April release date lined up with Warner Bros.’ current strategy of having a 45-day theatrical release window before a film’s premiere on HBO Max (after their previous day-and-date release strategy in 2021).
