What will Moon Knight season 1 be about?

If you’re looking for an early preview of what’s to come this season, here is how Disney Plus describes Moon Knight season 1:

"The story follows Steven Grant, a mild-mannered man who lives a mundane life, plagued by blackouts and mysterious memories of a life somehow separate from his own. After one fateful encounter, Steven discovers that he has Dissociative Identity Disorder and shares a body with Marc Spector—a former mercenary and the ruthless avatar of Khonshu, the Egyptian god of the moon and vengeance. With other godly motives at play, the two must navigate their complex identities amid a deadly battle played out among the powerful gods of Egypt."

How many episodes is Moon Knight season 1?

Similar to other Marvel Disney Plus series, Moon Knight‘s first season will be on the shorter side of things with only six episodes in season 1.

How long is each episode of Moon Knight season 1?

Each new episode of Moon Knight will come in around 45-50 minutes in length, which is average for most Marvel Disney Plus dramas. Currently, the runtimes for the first four episodes have been confirmed thus far with confirmation still to come regarding how long the final two episodes of season 1 will be.

Moon Knight episode runtimes

  • Episode 1- 45 minutes

How is Moon Knight connected to the MCU?

While each of the Marvel series to have debuted on Disney Plus thus far including WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and Hawkeye, Moon Knight is described as a standalone character with subtle nods to the MCU rather than direct connections.

As executive producer Grant Curtis revealed in a recent interview with TVLine, as the show came together it quickly evolved into a standalone project.

"“There were some Easter eggs and crossovers,” Diab says of the original plan. “As a show develops, it grows like a human being. Once we started seeing it come together, everybody started cutting stuff and everyone felt that we don’t even need to put anything in this. It’s a standalone project. It’s going to join the MCU one day, but it stands on its own legs. People usually love crossovers because of the surprises, but maybe the surprise this time is that it’s a standalone project.”"

Is Moon Knight on Netflix?

Unfortunately, you won’t be able to stream Moon Knight on Netflix. This is because the series is a Disney Plus original series and will be exclusive to Disney Plus. It’s also important to note that Disney and Netflix’s relationship has soured in recent years so it’s unlikely the two services would ever strike an agreement deal.
