Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney would be Marvel Studios’ perfect Emma Frost.

The way people love Euphoria, you’d think the show was on its fourth season. Realistically, it’s only been two. A lot of the time, the show is heavy. Euphoria deals with a lot of adult topics like sexuality and sexual freedom, drug use, violence, and more. Because of this, it’s not suitable for all viewers. Even adults. This writer has found himself uncomfortable a few times and even crying during certain scenes. A testament to how great the performers are.

Among those fantastic performers is Sydney Sweeney. She plays Cassie Howard. In season 1, she seemed like one of the protagonists in the series. In season 2, Cassie became something different. She had sex with her best friend’s ex, lied about it, and even started dressing seductively to get her friend’s ex’s attention. Even after hurting her best friend, she still continued to date him. She became one of the most hated people on the show. That’s all due to the greatness that Sydney Sweeney showed as an actress.

As season 2 of Euphoria ended, this writer noticed the layers of Sydney Sweeney’s acting skills. Throughout the series, Sweeney was a scene-stealer. She was alluring, and, at times, powerful. She was also emotional when the scene called for it. A lot of the attributes like seduction were reminiscent of the White Queen Emma Frost.

Why Euphoria’s Sydney Sweeney should play Emma Frost in the MCU

Emma is aware of how attractive men feel she is. She also knows that it’s something she can use as a manipulation tool. Sure, she could use her superior level of telepathy, but, sometimes, she likes to have fun without her powers. For all of her outward arrogance, Emma’s as insecure as most people.

Emma puts on a good face because that’s what’s expected of her. She has to be Emma Frost: The Diamond Ice Queen. It may also be a security blanket for her. Being unapproachable means that she doesn’t have to be vulnerable to people. There’s been a time or two where she’s changed into her ice form to avoid feeling emotions.

In Euphoria, Cassie was insecure, but she could put on a sultry look to mask her self-consciousness. She had a walk and look in her eyes that could melt steel. Even though she felt the need to do it for a guy who didn’t appreciate her. Both add to the conundrum that is Emma Frost.

There are a few other things that Sydney Sweeney has. First, she has a figure that’s very much like Emma Frost in the comic book. And, in the picture above, we can see that she looks good in diamonds and expensive clothes.

Emma only wears the best. In Uncanny X-Men No. 501 said, “I don’t shop at places so gauche as to sully their merchandise with things as vulgar as price tags.” Whoever plays her must pull off that kind of aristocratic behavior. It wouldn’t take much of an effort for Sydney Sweeney to pull off someone from upper class rich.

Second, Emma doesn’t just come off as arrogant. She’s been called a b-word on more than a few occasions. Despite the derogatory term, she embraced it. In Astonishing X-Men No. 23, when Cyclops “died” Kitty tried to be there for her. Emma declined and said, “I am a diamond, Ms. Pryde. I am, by definition, my own best friend.”

We saw a lot of this in the season finale of Euphoria from Cassie. She went on a tirade about how she was the victim. Again, something that Emma may do. Even if she didn’t believe it.

This is the only part that we haven’t seen from her. Considering she’s in high school in Euphoria, and the role she’s played, it makes sense. She hasn’t had the opportunity to be a leader or a teacher. Nonetheless, this writer has faith in Sydney Sweeney. She’s proven that she can do whatever is asked of her. This will be no different.

It’s unfortunate that she was cast in the Madame Web movie alongside Dakota Johnson. Sony movies aren’t revered well among the viewers. Sure, both Venom movies did well at the box office. Except Venom is a well-known character. We’ve yet to see how little known characters will do with Sony. However, Maybe Sydney Sweeney is the key to making Madam Web a success.
