Here are the ten best comic book crime bosses of all time.

One constant in the world of comic books is crime. There are varying versions of illegal activities, but you’ll almost certainly see illegitimate things going on. Within that you’ll find someone at the top of the criminal empire giving orders to their generals and their flunkies. Just like most things, not every boss is created equal.

Comic book crime bosses are the best of the best. The ones who either don’t get caught or are too smooth to let anything stick to them if they’re pinched. This writer isn’t talking about antagonists like The Joker or Norman Osborn. While they commit malfeasance and have people under them, they aren’t known for being mob bosses. For the most part, they don’t have what it takes to run a criminal kingdom.

There’s a lot that goes into it. For instance, there’s patience. You must be able to understand that certain things can’t be rushed. That comes with goons as well. The Joker is known for slaughtering goons for the smallest infractions. That’s not something that makes a good leader. However, there has to be a healthy dose of fear while you’re on the top. Otherwise, the people in your employ won’t respect you.

Coming up, we have the ten best comic book crime bosses. Let’s begin.
