The Boys season 3 is not coming to Prime Video in April 2022

If you’re hoping to see The Boys season 3 take flight on Amazon Prime Video in April 2022, I’m afraid I have some bad news for you.

While there are a lot of amazing titles coming to Amazon Prime Video across the month of April, one title you won’t see dropping among the month’s releases is the third season of the streamer’s Emmy-nominated superhero drama The Boys. 

As disappointing as it is not to be getting the new season this month, it’s not too surprising given Amazon has instead announced the season would be arriving this summer. Still, we would have loved to see the new season arrive early via a surprise release.

Instead, we’ll just have to keep waiting for the next batch of episodes and enjoy some of this month’s other new additions which include Josh Brolin’s Outer Range (April 15), the second season of the animated original Undone (April 29) and the Chris Pine led film All the Old Knives (April 8).

The Boys season 3 release date

While The Boys season 3 might not be coming in April, we do have a release date for the hit superhero drama and it’s not too far out! As confirmed by Amazon, the new season kicks off on June 3, 2022 — just in time to become one of the summer’s biggest titles.

As in past years, the first three episodes of the season will drop at once before the series shifts into a weekly release schedule. Pending any unexpected changes, the season 3 finale of The Boys should arrive on July 8, just after the Fourth of July holiday.
