Gotham Knights: Rahart Adams joins cast of The CW’s new DC Pilot
Pacific Rim: Uprising’s Rahart Adams is the latest to join the cast of The CW’s DC-related pilot Gotham Knights.
The CW has been ramping up the casting of its latest DC project, Gotham Knights. The pilot has been rounding out its cast in recent weeks with a number of casting announcements all coming in within days of each other. Now, as revealed by Deadline, Pacific Rim: Uprising star Rahart Adams has joined the cast.
According to the release, Adams will be playing Brody; a character described as being confident and charismatic, but with an entitled attitude hiding insecurities. While that doesn’t give much away about what kind of role the character could play, it’s clear that we should be prepared to see a lot of Brody as Adams will be a series regular if the show is picked up post-pilot.
The announcement came not long after it was revealed that All-American star Anna Lore has been cast in the role of Stephanie Brown, a.k.a. DC Comics’ Spoiler.
Aside from his role in the Pacific Rim franchise, Adams was a series regular on YouTube Red’s original comedy series Foursome. He also appeared on the Australian series Nowhere Boys, and was also a series regular on Every Witch Way on Nickelodeon. So clearly he can lead a show.
Will Gotham Knights get picked up?
With Gotham Knights having entered production, fans are eager to know if the DC project will be picked up to series by The CW. Yes, the pilot moving forward is a promising sign but it still has to be approved by the network for it to get ordered to series.
While the network could pass on the series, the hope is that The CW will want to grow its connection to the DC Universe and a Bat-Family-centric project could be the way of doing that.
Gotham Knights stars Fallon Smythe, Tyler DiChiara, Olivia Rose Keegan, Navia Robinson, Oscar Morgan, Anna Lore, and Rahart Adams.
Danny Cannon will executive produce and direct the pilot. Natalie Abrams, Chad Fiveash, and James Stoteraux are writing the series. Fiveash, Stoteraux, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and David Madden serve as executive producers on Gotham Knights. Abrams is a co-executive producer.
Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television are producing the series for The CW.
