Superman and Lois season 2 won’t be airing a new episode on The CW. That said, its return is in sight.

Superman and Lois has seen a fair few hiatuses throughout its run on The CW.

The Arrowverse series had to take a lengthy COVID-related production hiatus just one month after it debuted. When its first season returned, however, it did have a bit of an on again / off again run as there were a few shorter breaks in between. And now season 2 is following a similar pattern.

After Superman and Lois season 2 returned from a two-week hiatus, it aired two more installments before taking a three-week break. Naturally, it has left fans confused as to when to expect new episodes.

Why is Superman and Lois not on tonight?

It’s true that Superman and Lois season 2 has followed in the footsteps of its predecessor in taking multiple breaks during its run, and it seems that the reasoning behind it could be the same too.

Star Elizabeth Tulloch, who plays Lois Lane on the show, revealed in a tweet that the multiple hiatuses are once again the result of COVID-related production shutdowns and that the cast and crew are doing their best to “keep shooting during an ongoing pandemic”.

A totally understandable reason, we wish the cast and crew of Superman and Lois (and indeed all of the film and TV productions working hard to provide us with entertainment during this time) a safe, healthy and happy production.

When does Superman and Lois season 2 come back on?

Superman and Lois season 2 returns to The CW on Tuesday, April 26, at 8:00 p.m. ET. The returning installment will be titled “Bizarros in a Bizarro World” and will give us a glimpse into the mirror dimension to let us all see what Bizarro’s life was like.

After the previous episode’s huge cliffhanger ending, you can rest assured that fans will be tuning in to see what the Bizarro world, a.k.a. the Inverse World, is capable of.
