Batman Unburied release date revealed: When is the podcast coming out?

Batman Unburied, starring Winston Duke, has unveiled its release date for Spotify.

As per The Hollywood Reporter, it has been revealed that the narrative podcast called Batman Unburied has set a date for release.

Hitting Spotify on May 5, the audio drama features Winston Duke voicing the lead role of Bruce Wayne/Batman and is being executive produced by Man of Steel and The Dark Knight Trilogy scribe David S. Goyer.

So, what is Batman Unburied about?

According to the synopsis, when you first meet the young, billionaire socialite, Bruce Wayne is working as a forensic pathologist at Gotham Hospital. Wayne is investigating victims of the mysterious serial killer known as The Harvester and must overcome his own inner demons and work on a way of rescuing the citizens of Gotham as Batman in order to deal with this mystery.

The Spotify-exclusive is part of a multi-year first-look licensing deal featuring podcasts based on other DC characters, with Batgirl, Lois Lane, and Wonder Woman being among the few that were announced.

Among the voice cast of Batman Unburied is Jason Issacs as Alfred Pennyworth, Gina Rodriguez as Barbara Gordon, Lance Reddick as Thomas Wayne, Toks Olagundoye as Martha Wayne, John Rhys-Davies as Dr. Hunter, Hasan Minhaj as The Riddler, and Ashly Burch as Vicki Vale.

Batman Unburied is directed by Alex Kemp, the audio drama is written by Eric Carrasco, Saladin Ahmed, Graham Westerson, and Rebecca Klingel.

David S. Goyer, Keith Levine, Gracie Wheelan, Carrasco, Ahmed, Klingel, Liz Gateley, and Elena Blekhter are credited as executive producers. Westerson is co-executive producer.

The podcast is produced by Wolf at the Door in association with Spotify. Batman Unburied is set to drop on Spotify on May 5.
