Disney Plus glitch results in removal of Agent Carter, X-Men and more
By Cody Schultz
An unexplained Disney Plus glitch has resulted in the removal of several episodes of hit series including Agent Carter, X-Men and more Disney Plus offerings.
It seems not even the House of Mouse is safe from the occasional glitch in the system. While Disney Plus has proven to be relatively reliable after working through the hiccups of its early days, the streaming service recently experienced a major glitch in its system which somehow allowed for the removal of several beloved Disney brand entities.
Among the series affected by the unexpected technical snafu is Marvel’s Agent Carter, the 90s animated X-Men series, Disney XD’s Rocket and Groot as well as non-Marvel entities such as Duck Tales, Owl House and Lizzie McGuire.
As a result of the glitch, several episodes of the beloved series were removed from Disney Plus without explanation resulting in some confusion among fans.
First discovered via Reddit, the glitch affected each series differently resulting in the removal of a handful of episodes. Agent Carter seems to have been hit hardest with only three episodes from season 1 and three episodes from season 2 being available to stream as a result of the glitch which Disney has since identified and is working to resolve.
Has Agent Carter been removed from Disney Plus?
Fear not, Agent Carter fans. While select episodes of the series were temporarily removed from Disney Plus in late April, the beloved series starring Hayley Atwell remains available to stream on Disney Plus.
In total, fans can enjoy both seasons of Agent Carter on Disney Plus in their entirety. It remains unclear why select episodes of the series were removed temporarily, but fans hoping to rewatch the beloved ABC-Marve series can do so knowing all episodes are available to stream on Disney Plus.
