DC Comics’ Nightwing and Flash just broke up a notorious assassins ring

Nightwing and the Flash defeat La Agente Funebre in Nightwing No. 91.
After Alfred Pennyworth was killed in DC Comics (read City of Bane for more on that), he left Dick Grayson a.k.a. Nightwing, with a life-changing amount of money. Instead of using it to fund his vigilante escapades, Dick is making Bludhaven a better city.
A lot of the citizens in Bludhaven were ecstatic about this. Unfortunately, there are villains who hate it. Among them is a supervillain named Blockbuster. He hates Dick Grayson so much that he’s actively trying to kill him.
Nightwing and The Flash team up
Blockbuster is incredibly connected. So much so that he contacted an assassin’s group called La Agente Funebre. A group so secret that even Batman thought they were a myth. They’ve unsuccessfully tried to kill Dick Grayson on two separate occasions. The first attempt was with a missile aimed at his apartment complex that was full of innocent people. The second was when he used KGBeast.
After defeating Blockbuster, Nightwing and The Flash (Wally West) made their way to Costa Rica where La Agente Funebre were stationed. However, the leader of the group took out the latter with an invisible forcefield. After seeing that, the casual fan would think that this would be an easy loss for Nightwing. If that’s the case, you don’t know him. Nightwing is the smoothest comic book character ever. He let her think that he was losing then knocked her out.
That wasn’t the end of it, though. Nightwing got into La Agente Funebre’s system and set them up to be caught, defeated, and arrested by his friends in the Titans.
The ending wasn’t a happy time for Blockbuster. He received a professional courtesy visit from Lady Shiva. She told him that La Agente Funebre were defeated and captured for the first time in generations. Some were arrested and one was found with his heart removed. Before she left, Lady Shiva told Blockbuster one more thing: Dick Grayson is protected and, if he wants him dead, he’ll have to do it himself.
