Michael Keaton reprises his role as Batman in The Flash movie, and those in attendance at CinemaCon were treated to a surprise first look at his return.

The Dark Knight is returning.

Michael Keaton will bring back his classic iteration of the Caped Crusader back within the already-established DCEU when he appears in The Flash next year. The film, which stars Ezra Miller in the title role, sees Barry Allen travel through time and cross paths with the iconic veteran version of Batman.

While fans are excited to see Keaton return to the role for the first time in 30 years, we have yet to see an official look at his Dark Knight in action. The same can’t be said for those in attendance at CinemaCon, though, as a new teaser shown exclusively to audiences there reportedly revealed a new look at the Batman.

While the trailer has not been released to the wider public, there are some breakdowns as to what happened in it.

How did Michael Keaton’s Batman return in The Flash’s CinemaCon footage?

According to Deadline, the footage leaned into Batman lore, with a look at Wayne Manor and the Caped Crusader’s collection of Batsuits. ComicBook.com reveals that Michael Shannon’s Zod returns and there is also a glimpse of Sasha Calle’s Supergirl suit (which reportedly looks very similar to Henry Cavill’s Superman suit).

As far as Keaton’s role in the trailer goes, it sounds like he decides to team up with Barry, his doppelanger, and Calle’s Supergirl, and after uniting them, recites his famous line from Tim Burton’s Batman movie: “You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts!”.

As of now, it seems the trailer won’t be released online, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be in the future. Either way, it’s safe to say fans are excited to see Michael Keaton’s comeback as the Dark Knight. And after this possible first look at him in costume surfaced online, the excitement is growing.

The Flash is released on June 23, 2023.
