Harley Quinn is the show that keeps giving. While we await the Season 3 debut, a spin-off with Kite Man has been ordered by HBO Max. Hell yeah!

Noonan’s will focus on our lovable loser Kite Man and his new squeeze, Golden Glider, as they moonlight as criminals to support their foolish purchase of Noonan’s—Gotham’s seediest dive bar where everybody knows your name, but not necessarily your secret identity!

Noonan’s gets a 10 episode order

Matt Oberg will reprise the role of Kite Man, whom he voiced on Harley Quinn, for the 10-episode season order. We’ll surely see others reprise their role as it’s not out of the question for other characters to cross over.

What will be interesting is seeing how much this new series and Harley Quinn interact with one another. Noonan’s is the hangout for villains when they need to blow off some steam, surely Harley, Ivy, and the rest of the gang will appear once or twice. And Kite Man was dumped by Ivy at the end of last season, so there must be some closure needed in Season 3.

According to Variety, everyone involved couldn’t be more excited about the expansion of this Harley Quinn universe. Suzanna Makkos (executive VP of original comedy and adult animation for HBO Max/Adult Swim) said:

"“We love the wild and fun world of Harley Quinn so much we just had to make a spin-off and who better to center it around than the outcast Kite Man. Justin, Patrick, and Dean have created the perfect local hangout for Gotham City’s not-so-finest at Noonan’s, where bar patrons can blow off steam after a long day of mayhem.”"

Peter Girardi (executive VP of alternative programming for Warner Bros. Animation) echoed Makkos comments by saying:

"“Harley Quinn unlocked a world of hilarious possibilities with the iconic Superheroes and Super-Villains of the DC Universe. Exploring this world further with our partners at HBO Max and DC is going to be a lot of fun. Plus, after getting dumped by Poison Ivy, the least we could do was give Kite Man his own show.”"

Harley Quinn is set for a return to HBO Max with Season 3 this summer.
