5 huge Marvel, DC and comic book moments fans should know about (April 2022)

Jubilee plays the role of Moira
Comic book: X-Men ‘92 House of XCII
Marvel Comics House of X and Powers of X ushered in a new era for the X-Men (written by Jonathan Hickman). It was called Dawn of X. Mutants of the world finally had a place to call their own called Krakoa. There was a smaller threat of death, no prejudice on the island, and they were free to be themselves in their bodies without being judged. If this happened on Earth-616, it had to have happened on others.
Earth-92131 is home of the X-Men from the 1992 animated series. Recently, Marvel Studios announced that there will be a continuation to the cartoon on Disney Plus. With that news, Marvel Comics continued the stories of that Earth as well with a twist to House of X. Instead of Moira being the savior of the mutant race, it’s Jubilee.
Why is this important?
You can’t have a ’90s X-Men cartoon or comic without Jubilee. She was arguably more popular than Wolverine for a period of time. However, comic book fans have questioned her powers for years. Having her play the role of Moira MacTaggert makes her the most important part of the X-Men and the lives of mutants.
The problem will come when everyone finds out she’s alive. All of the X-Men think she’s dead. She was left to be a martyr for Krakoa’s birth. While they all mourn her, no one’s taken her “death” harder than Wolverine. And, at the end of the issue, we found out he’s picked up her scent.
