T’Challa no longer of Wakanda or Avenger
Comic book: Black Panther No. 5
T’Challa keeping secrets is surprising to no one. He does this to keep Wakanda safe. Too bad these secrets have come back to bite him in the butt. The Black Panther was arrested for his accused crimes, but escaped. He’s currently being hunted by his government, but they forgot something that Shuri reminded readers: T’Challa doesn’t need the suit to be the Black Panther.
While all of this is going on, T’Challa still has responsibilities to the Avengers. Something he can’t do while he’s on his current path. Because of this, it looks like he’s no longer an Avenger. At least for the time being.
Why is this important?
T’Challa is one of the best heroes in comic books. He’s cunning, a genius, and rarely loses a fight. This is on top of him being a master strategist. The warriors of Wakanda are elite, but they aren’t T’Challa. He’s in no real danger from them.
In terms of the Avengers, he’ll be back on the team before the year is over. They’re going up against multiple versions of Mephisto from different realms (read Avengers No. 55 for more on that). The Avengers will need him if they want to protect their universe. His comeback is going to be the stuff of legends. This writer can’t wait to see him and Nighthawk team up.
