Given the Moon Knight season finale aired just before Doctor Strange 2, should we expect to see Oscar Isacc reprise the role in Multiverse of Madness?

Following the Moon Knight season finale on May 4, there have been a lot of questions among fans regarding the future of the characters introduced across the show’s acclaimed first season.

While there was no formal teaser confirming the title character’s return ala a “Moon Knight will return” type message at the end of the episode, the door was left wide open for more stories to be told. In fact, fans are craving another season more than ever after the post-credit scene in the episode was used to tease the introduction of a massive comic character.

Given the timing of Moon Knight‘s finale falling literally days before Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness opened in theaters worldwide, could Multiverse of Madness be used to give fans their next glimpse of the breakout character?

Is Moon Knight in Doctor Strange 2?

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but Moon Knight does not have a cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Not only do we not see Moon Knight, but Oscar Isaac does not make an appearance as Marc Spector, Steven Grant or Jake Lockley either.

While disappointing to fans who were hoping to see more of the characters following the season finale of Moon Knight on May 4, it’s not too surprising that the character isn’t making his leap to the MCU right away.

At this time, there have yet to be any plans confirmed for when exactly we might see any characters from the breakout series pop up next, but the door has been left wide open for more stories to be told. Whether they play out in a future movie such as a standalone Moon Knight project or a second season remains to be seen.

Given how well received the show and its characters have been, we’ll be shocked if Marvel doesn’t find a way to further the story of Marc Spector, Steven Grant or Jake Lockley and the incredible lore explored within the first season. And let’s not forget about Layla, who was a major scene-stealer and who audiences are hoping to see return in some way as well!

While we won’t be seeing Oscar Isaac in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Marvel does have a lot of other amazing cameos planned!

Moon Knight is streaming now on Disney Plus.
