Marvel Studios will continue to churn out major movies, but what is the next one after Doctor Strange 2?

It’s no surprise to hear that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a resounding success for Marvel. The studio is renowned for producing box office hits and it can put the much-anticipated Doctor Strange sequel, which has now grossed over $500 million, as another check in the win column.

The Benedict Cumberbatch-led film saw the former Sorcerer Supreme attempt to keep the young America Chavez safe as the pair found their way into the multiverse. Also in the film was Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, who had now evolved into the Scarlet Witch (as seen in WandaVision).

Yes, it’s once again Marvel Cinematic Universe mania for fans, and it shows no signs of slowing down. If you’re eager for your next adventure in the MCU, here’s what the next film installment of the ever-growing franchise is and when you can expect it.

What is the next Marvel movie?

The next Marvel movie is Thor: Love and Thunder. The fourth solo film to be headlined by Chris Hesmworth’s God of Thunder, it is set to be released on July 8, 2022.

Set after the events of Avengers: Endgame, it will focus on Thor’s attempts to figure out who he is, as he seeks to leave his days as a warrior of Asgard, and a hero of The Avengers, behind. However, it soon becomes clear that he doesn’t have everything figured out, and when a great evil rises in Gorr the God Butcher, it’s up to him to wield the axe known as Stormbreaker to save the day.

But he won’t be the only god stepping up to the god butcher, as Jane Foster returns, having obtained the power of Thor as she now wields the hammer known as Mjolnir. Yes, Natalie Portman returns to the franchise as the Mighty Thor.

If you would like some MCU goodness before that movie, though, tune into Ms. Marvel on Disney Plus when it premieres on June 8!
