Thor movies in order: How to watch the God of Thunder’s MCU films
The God of Thunder returns to the silver screen this summer in Thor: Love and Thunder. Before he does, find out how to catch up on his Marvel movie saga.
It won’t be long until Chris Hemsworth straps on that Asgardian armor and wields the axe known as Stormbreaker in the Marvel Cinematic Universe once again. Yes, Thor is on his way back to screens in another theatrical release.
Joining Hemsworth in the movie will be Tessa Thompson and Taika Waititi, who reprise their roles as Valkyrie and Korg respectively, as well as Christian Bale, who portrays the villainous Gorr the God Butcher.
The Guardians of the Galaxy will also appear, but the most exciting return is that of Natalie Portman, who brings Jane Foster back in what will undoubtedly be her biggest appearance yet, as the character becomes Mighty Thor.
If you’re excited for Hemsworth’s return to the role, but you haven’t seen his previous work in the MCU, you might want to catch up on his journey thus far. Currently, there are four movies headlined by Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder in a solo capacity, the fourth of which is Love and Thunder (which arrives in theaters in July). Here’s how to watch the film series in order of release.

That said, as all four Thor movies exist within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there are other movies that feature the God of Thunder in a prominent role that take place outside of his franchise, and most of them are quite important to his story.
