8. Longshot

Longshot is literally the luckiest comic book character of all time. It helps that luck is his power. No matter what happens, things work out in his favor. It helps get him out of impossible situations. Sometimes that means he gets knocked around and lands somewhere safe. That happens a lot.

In the comics, Wanda’s powers used to be mostly probability. They changed over the years. They’ve become more magical than chance based. Longshot can throw his unbreakable blades and Wanda wouldn’t be able to stop them. Even deflecting them would end with her getting hurt or helping Longshot. Overall, Longshot is a cheat code for most comic book battles.

7. Silver Surfer

Speaking of cheat codes, that is the Power Cosmic. It’s the ultimate plot device. Whenever a writer needs something to help Silver Surfer win, they rely on the Power Cosmic. Dan Slott made a joke about it in Silver Surfer: New Dawn (a series this writer recommends). Even he knows how convenient his abilities are.

Wanda and the Silver Surfer would have a battle similar to the one she had with Captain Marvel. Except a falling statue won’t stop the Surfer. All it would do is make him mad. And, as much as someone doesn’t want to make the Hulk angry, the Silver Surfer is scarier when he’s upset.
