The comic book team came together after the Kree/Skrull War. Iron Man, Charles Xavier, Black Bolt, Tony Stark, Namor, and Doctor Strange decided they’d be the ones to decide which problems only they could solve. They failed at almost every turn. In fact, they inadvertently caused the Secret Invasion.
This is a great opener. There’s only six issues to read and you learn about each of the characters’ personalities. You’d assume that Tony Stark would be the driving force behind this series. However, that’s far from the truth. Each of them added something to the entertainment fun factor of the series. Even Black Bolt had a few jokes. However, one of them is actually a skrull.

Did you wonder why Reed Richards gave away where Black Bolt’s powers came from? Well, this series will help explain why. Some people thought it was foolish and it was. Unfortunately, Reed does a lot of things like this. He’s the smartest man in the world, but he lacks common sense at times. He wasn’t trying to intimidate Wanda. He wanted to stop further injury to everyone involved. Unfortunately, it backfired.
If you want to learn about Reed Richards, this is the best way to go. You won’t see as many foolish mistakes as telling someone how to stop their most powerful weapon, but readers will see that his powers are underrated. He uses his stretching in creative ways. More importantly, you’ll see that his powers are nothing compared to his genius and leadership skills. However, he’s not always the most attentive husband or father. Although, when he is, Reed is a romantic to Sue and loving to his children.
