Stranger Things season 4 finds Mike and Eleven at a crossroads which comes to a head with a letter that is sure to get fans talking. What exactly did it say though? Read on to find out!

A new season of Stranger Things is finally streaming on Netflix! After nearly three years, there were a lot of hopes fans had coming into the season. While the key hope heading into any season is that your favorite characters will make it out of the season alive, for us hopeless romantics, we can’t help but also hope our favorite couples are still together by the end of each new season.

Among the season’s most iconic pairings is Mike and Eleven, who have been going strong since the day they first met back in season 1 under those less than usual circumstances. However, this season tests the pair like never before as they juggle a long-distance relationship following Eleven’s move to California with the Byers.

Warning: This article contains major spoilers from Stranger Things season 4. If you haven’t seen it yet and don’t want the season spoiled for you, don’t read any further.

As the season begins, Mike and Eleven seem to be in a really good place. They’ve been writing to one another ever since Eleven moved away from Hawkins and Mike is finally about to arrive for a visit during Spring Break.

However, when Mike arrives, the pair seem to hit a rough patch that begins with a less than fun date at the rollerskating rink. After Angela and her clique torment El, she takes things into her own hands and throws a rollerskate at Angela, hitting her in the head.

What did Eleven say to Mike in her letter?

Mike freaks out on her following the actions El took at the rollerskating rink which triggers a memory from her time in the Rainbow Room. The two end up on shaky ground when El claims Will’s feelings towards her had changed as evident in how he signed his letters as “From” rather than “Love, Mike.”

Before Mike can try to patch things up with El, she’s arrested for assaulting Angela and later intercepted by Dr. Owens and his team. When Dr. Owens presents El with the opportunity to try to get her powers back and save the day, she decides to go and sends a letter to Mike which reads, “Dear Mike, I have gone to become a superhero again. From, El.”

The note seemed to suggest that Eleven hadn’t yet forgiven Mike for how he treated her and understandably so. Unfortunately, we don’t get to see the pair reunite in part 1, so we’re going to have to wait until part 2 arrives on July 1 to find out if the pair can patch things up or if Mike and Eleven are truly over.

Stranger Things season 4 is streaming now on Netflix.

Are you hoping Eleven and Mike will end up together by the end of the season?
