Who is Arv Greywal and why is The Boys season 3 dedicated to him?

The Boys season 3 episode 1 was followed by a tribute to Arv Greywal, but what exactly is his connection to the show and why is the season dedicated to him?
A new season of The Boys is streaming on Amazon Prime now and has given fans a lot to talk about. If you’ve made it to this particular post, chances are you’ve just finished the season premiere, allowed the credits to roll and found your curiosity piqued regarding the dedication message that capped off the episode.
Before the full credits for the season played out, a special tribute appears on the screen dedicating the season to Arv Greywal via a sweet and simple dedication.
“This season is dedicated to our good friend Arv Greywal,” read the dedication which was designed to celebrate the legacy of Greywal, who played a key role on the show behind the scenes.
The Boys season 3: Arv Greywal
The name Arv Greywal might not ring a bell right away, but eagle-eyed fans who stick around to watch the credits from the series are likely to recognize Greywal for his work as the production designer on The Boys.
Greywal worked on The Boys across the show’s first and second seasons, lending his expertise to help bring the series to life on the small screen.
He was set to return to work on the third season as well. Sadly, in October 2020, Greywal passed away unexpectedly prior to the start of production.
Shortly after his passing, many members of The Boys team took to social media to honor and remember Greywal including The Boys series creator Eric Kripke, who honored his friend and frequent collaborator with a touching tribute on Twitter.
The Boys season 3, episodes 1-3 are streaming now on Amazon Prime with new episodes releasing weekly on Friday.
