10. Thor saved the gods

Comic book: Thor: God of Thunder: God Bomb

When Gorr the God Butcher’s god Bomb was complete, it was up to Young, All Father, and Avenger Thor to stop it. If it exploded, the bomb would kill every god throughout time. With two Mjilnors in his hands, the Avenger absorbed the God Bomb and the All-Black.

After that, it was time to deal with Gorr. Without his power, the former God Butcher was helpless. The Odinson used the All-Black inside of him and attacked Gorr. The villain cried out, but it meant nothing. Young Odinson decapitated him, ending the God Butcher’s reign of terror.

This was the moment when Thor became the greatest god in all of Marvel Comics.

9. He killed the Void

Comic book: The Siege

The Sentry’s power is on a level that can’t be calculated. When he becomes the Void, he’s even more powerful and has zero remorse for the world. Except for Norman Osborn. He was the only person who he listened to. With Norman wanting Asgard destroyed, Sentry/Void’s purpose was clear: Take down the Asgardians’ home in Broxton, Oklahoma.

Thor and the Void battled with the latter clearly in control. After the war was over, Robert Reynolds (Sentry’s human form) wanted to kill him. The Avengers said he had to pay for his crimes in court. Then the Void took over. At that point, the Odinson had no choice. The God of Thunder destroyed Void leaving only a charred skeleton.
