8. Naomi Scott

The sequel to the 2017 Power Rangers movie was canceled. An unfortunate thing for the cast, especially Naomi Scott. Thankfully, she was given another shot at stardom with her role as Princess Jasmine in Aladdin. In fact, she was the best part of the movie. She displayed her talents as an actress, singer, and proved she could carry a project.

This writer wanted Naomi Scott’s intro to comic book projects to be the Skrull Queen. However, it looks like that role may have went to Emilia Clarke (all speculation due to set photos from Secret Invasion). With that, Naomi Scott should be Jessica Drew.

Scott would be able to show her talents in multiple ways. She’d have to be a spy or S.H.I.E.L.D agent who’s sometimes forced to be a triple agent. An Avenger with Luke Cage that defends the people on the street. Lastly, she’d have to be a detective. The latter would make for a fantastic Disney Plus series.

7. Eli Goree

Eli Goree hasn’t been in a lot of major projects in his young career but that doesn’t mean anything in the world of  comic book projects. Sometimes, that’s the best way to go. New performers have a chance to surprise the audience. Goree played Cassius Clay perfectly in One Night in Miami from the voice all the way down to the way he moved. Not just in the ring. During the night itself. He’s also appeared in comic book projects on The CW, guest-starring in episodes of Riverdale and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe needs a Luke Cage. He represents something that no other Marvel hero does. He’s a hero on the streets who doesn’t hide his face. Eli Goree is the guy we deserve to play him. He’s young enough to play the character for years and more than capable to make it believable. And he’s got the physique on top of it all. This writer could see him playing Luke Cage and being the leader of his own team of Avengers.
