The Boys on Amazon Prime was renewed for a fourth season after only four episodes and no one should be shocked.
After a two-year break, The Boys is back in full swing on Amazon Prime. Just like season 2, the season premiered with three episodes. A smart move. It gives viewers the binge everyone loves and then makes viewers wait for more. They hook fans in then force them to wait.
Thankfully, The Boys is worth being patient for. It’s a fantastic show with a lot of great action and even better storytelling. This writer isn’t the only one who understands the show’s greatness since it’s already been renewed for a fourth season.
Is The Boys season 4 happening? (Was The Boys renewed?)
According to Yahoo News, IGN, and other sources, The Boys will receive a fourth season on Amazon Prime. This news isn’t shocking. The show was given a season 3 green light during season 2 before the season was at the halfway mark. That’s because Amazon knows what they have with The Boys. Not only are comic book projects still incredibly popular, but this show also gives viewers a new look at heroes.
Besides the prime show (pun intended), Amazon has already produced one spinoff called The Boys: DIabolical. An animated anthology of their universe that told stories from different people with old and new characters. There’s another spinoff that will be based in college and a reality TV show. It may be like American Hero. The show doesn’t have a name yet, but will likely have all of the shenanigans that viewers have grown to love.
As of now, there’s no date on when the next season will be released. However, season 2 was out a year after the first. Season 3 may have done the same if not for the global pandemic. If this writer had to guess, season 4 will likely premiere in 2023.
