Celebrities. They’re just like the rest of us. Sure they might live more lavish lifestyles than most of us, but that doesn’t mean they don’t enjoy a good television show just like the rest of us!

Television is truly a universal fandom and if there is one show that continues to have the generational appeal it’s Friends.

To this day, the series remains a staple in many households across the world who enjoy catching up with the likes of Monica, Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler and Ross at the Central Perk via HBO Max and the countless reruns showing in syndication.

Many fans have spent late nights watching the Friends gang, including one of Marvel’s biggest stars.

Sebastian Stan says Friends got them through many lonely nights

Like many others, Sebastian Stan is a fan of Friends and revealed to Rachel Green herself, Jennifer Aniston, in the latest edition of Variety’s Actors on Actors that the series got him through a lot of lonely nights.

“There are so many times where I’ve gone through a lot of lonely nights with Friends, I will tell you,” Stan confessed.

It’s a sentiment that Aniston fully understands, telling Stan the series is “a friend to have in the room sometimes.”

Not only did Stan pass a lot of lonely nights with the show, but like many fans, he personally identified with a particular character — and shockingly he was not a Rachel. “I always came closest to Chandler, because I get very sort of neurotic. And I just used to die laughing.”

Honestly, we can see Stan as a Chandler, though there is definitely an argument that he’s also a total Joey.
