10. Don’t mess with his dog
We’ve seen Billy Butcher’s dog a few times between The Boys live action show and The Boys Presents: Diabolical. In the comic books series, Butcher’s dog Terror is in almost every issue. Terror is the thing he loves most in the world. One of the last things that made him happy after his wife died. Which is why Jack from Jupiter killing him was a huge mistake.
When Butcher caught up to Jack, Butcher brutally killed him. He stabbed Jack over and over while he repeated, “Why did you kill my dog, mate?” Butcher wasn’t looking for an answer. As he said while he was attacking Jack, “I’m not here.”
9. Kept Jonah Vogelbaum alive
One of Billy Butcher’s first assignments was to kill Jonah Vogelbaum. When Butcher left Vogelbaum’s cabin, he spit out a red substance. When Greg Mallory saw this, he assumed that Butcher ripped his throat out with his teeth. In actuality, it was raspberry Jam.
This is another moment where Butcher wasted nothing. The perception worked on Mallory, who assumed that he was a lunatic. This is what Butcher wanted. He kept Vogelbaum alive to create something that could kill anyone with Compound V in their system. Once that job was completed, Butcher killed Vogelbaum and left him dead in his lab.
