10. Better protector

Who’s lost more people they love between Logan and Bruce Wayne? Logan by miles. The villains in his life (they’ll be discussed later) make their attacks on him personal. Batman has only lost a handful of family and friends that he couldn’t protect. However, when we say that Logan is the better protector, we’re talking about doing more than fighting.

After X-Men: Schism, Logan was tired of mutant kids having to be soldiers. He decided to give them another option. He opened the Jean Grey School for higher learning. This way, mutants had a place they could learn instead of fight. The fighting may not have ended, but they were no longer forced to fight. They could just be kids or teachers.

9.  Wolverine isn’t as sanctimonious

To Batman, his word is law. There’s no wiggle room or gray areas with him. A lot of the time, it’s his way or the highway. He’s actually left teams because they didn’t agree with him. Logan isn’t like that. He’s more than ready to try things a different way.

There have been multiple times when Logan has adjusted to what’s needed of him. There have been moments when he feels killing is the right thing to do, but he goes with the team’s plan instead. It’s especially something we see now in the comics in Krakoa. He wants the mutant nation to work so he’s obeyed the law of killing no man. He may not like it, but he won’t leave because of it.
