6. Wolverine has a deeper backstory than Batman

Bruce’s parents dying is only part of his origin. He had to train, fight and learn from people all around the world to become the World’s Greatest Detective and one of the most proficient fighters. You can’t take that away from Bruce. Nevertheless, Logan’s origin is much deeper and sadder.

The first person Logan killed was his biological father. This was after seeing the man who raised him shot in the face. He then accidentally killed the first woman he ever loved. After this, Logan left to become a man of the woods for years.

His life of tragedy continues as everyone around him is killed. The worst part is it’s because an unknown being (Romulus) is pulling his strings. There’s so much more, but not enough space in this section to get to. Just know that Logan’s long life is full of tragedy and him picking himself back up to be a better person. 5. Willingness to do what others can’t

This is about more than killing, so that’s not what we’re getting into here. Logan knows that there are certain missions that only he can do. Sometimes this means being the one to take the punishment since his body can heal. His body recovers, but the mental toll is something that Wolverine doesn’t just heal from.

Another thing Logan is okay with is being the bad-guy, especially if the result is keeping people alive or his teammates staying pure. It’s one of the many reasons he was against his first X-Force team. He didn’t want the younger people doing things that would stain their souls.
